About
This is a Watch Modder hobbyist site
I have two purposes for Half Time Watch Mods. The first is as an outlet for my enjoyment of watch modding. I can only afford to have a few keepers, but I like the “design/build” process of modding too much to stop. The second is as a training ground for hands-on Facebook/Instagram advertising. I’m an experienced digital marketer, but I’m always looking to develop hands-on skills. By having something to sell, I can gain experience in the ad platforms and hopefully cover some costs. Half Time Watch Mods is not about making money.
There is a theme to Half Time Watch Mods: unique, great-looking customized watches at reasonable prices. For the most part, the plan is to avoid using the SKX007. It’s a phenomenal base watch. My daily desk diver is based on an SKX007. But prices can get up there quickly and there are companies specializing in these mods. I’m also going to focus on modifications that others aren’t doing. You won’t see a Seiko SNZH Fifty Five Fathom homage mod here. Others are doing them, and I’d rather do something differentiated than compete. There is room for everybody.
“Half-time” implies “less than full-cost, detailed homage” (usually using an SKX007). When I thought about the logo potential, which you see realized here, I was sold on the name.
