Inspired by the “Dirty Dozen” WW2 issue field watches, this “homage” has been modded with classic military styling. It’s base watch is a polished finish Seiko SNK789, which better resembles the plated cases of WW2, rather than the SNK8xx cased watches with their modern bead-blasted, “anti-reflective” finish. the 38mm diameter case is truer to the 36mm cases common of that era (and is a really nice size). Railroad minutes/seconds track (unlumed dial) and stick hands (with good lume) are definitely retro. An inexpensive olive nylon strap is the finishing touch. (There are many great retro canvas straps out there, in many vintage looks, that would look great. However, given their costs, you should choose. The included strap lets you wear this, with style, right out of the box.)

Like all Half Time Watch Mods, the goal here is to offer great looks and specifications at the lowest possible cost. Having said that, I hope this would be worn fondly by someone who was issued a similar watch, back in the day, and wanted something fresh as a daily wearer.
